🛡️ ECHS Empanelled Hospital

Ex-Servicemen: Your Pain Treatment Is Covered

Mamta Hospital is empanelled with ECHS. You do not need a referral to see the doctor — walk in, get an honest opinion, and we only arrange the ECHS paperwork if a procedure is actually needed.

How it works

  1. Book or walk in for an OPD consultation. Bring any MRI, X-ray and previous prescriptions you already have. A referral is not required only to seek an initial opinion.
  2. Only if a procedure is needed, we arrange the referral. Many people do not need one at all. If you do, our desk tells you exactly what to ask your ECHS Polyclinic for — so you make one trip, not three.
  3. If a day-care procedure is advised, the hospital checks eligibility and pre-authorisation. The observation and discharge plan depends on the procedure and the patient’s health.

What to bring to your first visit

  • Your ECHS smart card
  • Aadhaar card
  • Any MRI, X-ray or previous prescriptions you already have
  • A referral letter only if you already have one — it is not needed to see the doctor
In an emergency, ECHS beneficiaries can be admitted to an empanelled hospital without a prior referral — but the ECHS Polyclinic must be informed within 48 hours, or the treatment may not be settled as cashless.

Not ex-services? We are also cashless with major health insurance TPAs. Ask our desk before your procedure date.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is hospital admission required for pain block procedures?
Many interventional procedures can be performed as day care. The observation and discharge plan depends on the procedure, other health conditions and the clinical assessment.
Will I need major spine or knee surgery?
That depends on the diagnosis and examination. Options may include medicines, physiotherapy, lifestyle measures, image-guided procedures or a surgical opinion when indicated.
Are these procedures painful?
Suitable procedures are performed with local anaesthesia and image guidance. Individual experience varies; expected discomfort, benefits and risks are discussed beforehand.
Are these procedures covered under ECHS or health insurance?
Mamta Hospital is ECHS empanelled. A referral is not required for an initial OPD opinion. If a procedure is advised, the hospital confirms eligibility, referral requirements and pre-authorisation. Other insurance depends on the policy and approval.
Does palliative care mean stopping active treatment?
No. Palliative care can be provided alongside active treatment. It focuses on relief of pain and other symptoms, function, quality of life and decisions aligned with the patient’s goals.
